I never was much of a Billy-badass by Infantry standards, but I don't think an Air Force pogue would give me too much trouble. In any case, there's not much point of that sort of talk on the internet. I still think the picture is funny as hell. |

Wonder if they used a conditioner on the jets after they got rinsed off? |

| Cleaing up this mess is a PITA and very foam is corrosive on the jets. And with the amount of panels missing of the F-15's wing looks like it was during a Phase inspection so it is safe to say that jet is FUBAR. |

Aircraft A0353 has been in that hanger for heavy mods over the past several years, damn near every panel removed and orange spaghetti hanging everywhere. Last I saw she had a wing removed. Oops.
I"ve also heard that the 46th commander is on a hunt for who sent these pictures off the reservation and posted them on Facebook (and here, I assume). |

That makes it even more funny. Too bad for him I was never in the USAF. I got the article from the link in the first post; one of the moderators must have added the photo. Why's that CO got his panties up his candy a$$ anyways? I don't see any OPSEC problems here.
And "several years"? What the hell's taking so long?
Just to even the playing field, here's a slide show one of my unit's 13F attachments made of our second tour (we'd been reflagged as 1-9 INF). 4:50 as a photo of an M998 that someone drove in the canal in front of Camp Corregidor (not me thank God).

If this is at Eglin, I've probably seen some of these very jets fly. Sad to think they may not fly again.

Different perspective if there had been a fire and it didn't work.
You takes your chances with 'technology'.
(Coincidentally, saw a scaled down version of this at a keg party once.) |

Thank God this did not happen in the F-35's hanger.
I shudder to think what that would do to the program, or at least what BS would claim it would do. |
