I think *you* might be surprised. There are always going to be air gaps under heatsinks that need to be filled (even if you're water, fuel, or even LN cooling). What do you use? That's right, thermal paste.

Well obviously but my point was that LM probably has a source of much higher quality stuff than you'll find on the shelf.

What if pressurized suits will fix this. It could be a more innovative thing to do considering we are on the limits of traditional flight equipment for pilots. I'm thinking along the lines of SR-71 flightsuits. While I don't think making the pilot look like an astronaut is going to make things better; in the long run, a new type flightsuit that is pressurized could feature systems that may be able to make the pilot more aware of his/her body functions and condition when executing extreme maneuvers and high altitude missions.

If they could some how consolidate a pressurized flight suit into the size of what the pilots wear now that seems like a good plan, but rumor is some areas of the cockpit are already difficult to access with winter gear on, let alone a huge suit.
