| So far most of the recent F-22 deployments to the Central Command Area - there were also F-15Cs with them. Langley F-22s had F-15Cs from Lakenheath and then later Kadena in the area ie validating the Hunter-Killer teams. Right now Mass ANG F-15Cs from the 104th are also in the CENTCOM area. |

Well, if something happens, which one will be the first?
Out of those, I hope it's this one:
Why? Because:
1) Its an overrated turkey. Yet inexplicably popular with the uninformed public.
2) It'll be like slapping the US Navy's face too as they so talked up the Tomkitty all those years.
3) Getting footage of 2 heads in your HUD is always better than one! |

The 159th is also over there with F-15C's.
As for the first kill? Id bet it will be the F-14's as they are used as the main defense fighter. Although they do have a bunch of F-4E's just across the gulf..... |

Tomcat bashing???
I hope your just thinking in terms of air to air - but then again if you havent experienced or be able to see what F-14s can do during Red Flag or Naval exercises you may think differently. Of course those don't count!
As far as the multi-role fighter the F-14s proved to be outstanding in Desert Fox, Allied Force, OEF, and OIF.
And by the way - during the Iran/Iraq War the Iranians have lost F-14s in air to air combat .. so thats old news.
I heard that the F-22 force was a combined 90th AK/7th HO package. |

Over rated? Sounds like a hater to me. In what way was an F-14D over rated? |

Come on Iran, you must have someone in the IRIAF brave enough to go and dance with the F-22...
They'd need to know it's there first. But aside from that...
Why exactly would anyone WANT there to be a fight? You see all-out war as inevitable and prefer sooner rather than later?
Who wants war? War is the inevitable conclusion of man's pride unchecked, sometimes neccessary, sometimes not, whether a street fight or WW3!!!! Heed history and possibly see the future. Iran maybe a nuisance, but the sabre rattling on both sides, lead us down the road. Aggressor and Defender
A well known quote story about Gen Patton.
On May 7, 1945, just before the German capitulation, Patton had a conference in Austria with U.S. Secretary of War Robert Patterson. Patton was gravely concerned over the Soviet failure to respect the demarcation lines separating the Soviet and American occupation zones. He was also alarmed by plans in Washington for the immediate partial demobilization of the U.S. Army.
Patton said to Patterson: "Let's keep our boots polished, bayonets sharpened, and present a picture of force and strength to the Red Army. This is the only language they understand and respect."
Patterson replied, "Oh, George, you have been so close to this thing so long, you have lost sight of the big picture."
Patton rejoined: "I understand the situation. Their (the Soviet) supply system is inadequate to maintain them in a serious action such as I could put to them. They have chickens in the coop and cattle on the hoof -- that's their supply system. They could probably maintain themselves in the type of fighting I could give them for rive days. After that it would make no difference how many million men they have, and if you wanted Moscow I could give it to you. They lived on the land coming down. There is insufficient left for them to maintain themselves going back. Let's not give them time to build up their supplies. If we do, then . . . we have had a victory over the Germans and disarmed them, but we have failed in the liberation of Europe; we have lost the war!"
Millions died and persecuted in the wake of WW2. |

Think you meant OPSEC.... COMSEC is more the equipment and documents used for secure communications.
Theres been a whole thread or two about the very touchy subject of movement of aircraft.. |

I am kind of hoping it ends up being F-14 vs F-15. We need the real answer to "who's the best". |
