Theres a picture up on airliners of HO 4099 going through spain a few days ago......49th for the first F-22 combat kills??? Twisted Evil

So far most of the recent F-22 deployments to the Central Command Area - there were also F-15Cs with them. Langley F-22s had F-15Cs from Lakenheath and then later Kadena in the area ie validating the Hunter-Killer teams. Right now Mass ANG F-15Cs from the 104th are also in the CENTCOM area.

Well, if something happens, which one will be the first?

Out of those, I hope it's this one:

Why? Because:

1) Its an overrated turkey. Yet inexplicably popular with the uninformed public.

2) It'll be like slapping the US Navy's face too as they so talked up the Tomkitty all those years.

3) Getting footage of 2 heads in your HUD is always better than one!

The 159th is also over there with F-15C's.

As for the first kill? Id bet it will be the F-14's as they are used as the main defense fighter. Although they do have a bunch of F-4E's just across the gulf.....

I hope your just thinking in terms of air to air - but then again if you havent experienced or be able to see what F-14s can do during Red Flag or Naval exercises you may think differently. Of course those don't count!

As far as the multi-role fighter the F-14s proved to be outstanding in Desert Fox, Allied Force, OEF, and OIF.

And by the way - during the Iran/Iraq War the Iranians have lost F-14s in air to air combat .. so thats old news.

I heard that the F-22 force was a combined 90th AK/7th HO package.

A well known quote story about Gen Patton.

Think you meant OPSEC.... COMSEC is more the equipment and documents used for secure communications.
