With Tyndall converting to an Air Combat Command base and the arrival of a squadron of F-22s to stand up an operational squadron - does anyone know what squadron the Air Force will resurrect??? Past history seems to have some wierd logic...

Elmendorf... deactivate the 43rd Fighter Squadron (F-15s) and replace it with the reactivated 19th Fighter Squadron... Deactivate the 19th Fighter Squadron and replace it with the 525th Fighter Squadron (F-22s)... reactivate the 19th Fighter Squadron at Hickam as an associate squadron to fly Hawaii ANG F-22s.

Tyndall - three F-15 fighter squadrons at Tyndall.. 1st, 2nd, 95th.... lets activate the 43rd Fighter Squadron to fly the F-22s!

So any guesses????

It would be interesting if ACC resurrects the 71st FS "The Ironmen" down there.

They were suppose to be the 3rd squadron at Langley to be equipped with the F-22. This would be a good opportunity to not only reactivate an accomplished and distinguished squadron, but they can finally get their Raptors.

From a source with the Demons, The plan as of Aug 2011 (And he confirmed it), the 7th FS will be deactivated and the 95th FS will be the active duty squadron at Tyndall. Hate to see the Demons die off, yet again but nice to see the Bones return.

So, it's Mr. Bones they plan on bringing back? Would be fitting.

Indeed it is. I myself was hoping for the ABS or Ironmen to return, But the Boneheads have quite the history. It'll be nice to see them as an ACC unit as well rather than AETC.
