TWILIGHT is some teen movie - right? Very Happy [Nearly got killed once in twilight landing monitoring a student in front seat of TA4G as we went below portable mirror glidepath on RW 26 at NAS Nowra [stud looking for meatball] where it is possible to go below the runway due to deep gully on approach - and we did!. It was a weird transition from twilight at altitude to almost darkness in the circuit - a long story but we survived.]

About the First F-35 Night Aerial Refueling - No, Not “Twilight”. Night Sunday, April 08, 2012

http://elementsofpower.blogspot.com.au/ ... eling.html

"There are apparently 'those' who think that the F-35’s first nighttime aerial refueling tests beginning right about sundown (at altitude, which means well after sundown on the ground) is some form of ‘cheating’ or possibly a ‘diluted’ or ‘easier’ test than if begun perhaps long after the day’s last light has passed. I came to this conclusion the first time someone posted the single-word ‘Twilight’ as a comment on a thread about the testing....

...PS
...Here’s the ‘short form’ of the more important aspects: Transition from Photopic to Scotopic vision and the effects of changing lighting conditions on aircrew perceptions (Boomer and Pilot) of contrast, glare, reflection and refraction. You know, the kind of stuff you care about when you are qualification testing the night aerial refueling capability of the F-35 (and tanker type to refuel the F-35) "

Always a good read at this blog - go get it! Very Happy

Thanks for the link Spazsinbad.

Anyone else follow the link in the link and see whom the poster was that said "Twilight"?

Yes that is correct, Eric Palmer, AKA ELP.
