The USAF FY 2013 PB Production Schedule has 3 jets delivered (1-A, 2-B) in April, 3 jets (1-A, 2-B) in May, 2 jets (1-A, 1-B) in June, 3 jets (1-A, 2-B) in July - which is the balance of LRIP-III (FY2009) jets. For the rest of FY12, there are 3 jets (1-A, 2-B) in August, 3 jets (1-A, 1-B, 1-C) in September - all LRIP-IV (FY2010) jets. October (beginning of FY2013) continues LRIP-IV with 4 jets (2-A, 1-B, 1-C), in November, 2 jets (1-A, 1-B), and December, 5 jets (1-A, 3-B, 1-C).

From CY2013 - CY2017, there are generally 2-4 jets delivered per month, with a few exceptions. Starting in CY2018, the rate increases to 5-6 jets per month.

Thank you for sharing, seems like there is more time than planes.
I wonder if by this production rate and the small orders they will deliver the next LRIP's jets sooner...

fang-

My understanding is that the line is currently equipped and manned to produce ~45 jets a year (I think I remember that the purchase of the equipment and hiring/training of personnel started before the LRIP orders were curtailed). So that would lead me to believe that yes, the next few LRIP's that only have ~30 planes in them will be produced ahead of schedule.

Looking at the numbers it appears that in CY 2014 L-M will have less F-35's to build than it has capacity. My calculation is 38 to build for the mentioned capacity of 45 assuming it takes one year between contract signing and start of production. So what happens?

In CY14 they are building Partner and FMS jets that do not appear on the schedule.
