| Is there a way to choose if I want to deiliver them in HD (high-drag) or LD (low-drag) mode while inflight? I am tsalking about just switching profiles in the SMS instead of rigging them prior to take-off. How would the fuzes (FMU139, M904 etc.) would have to be set? |

On the SMS page there is a NOSE, TAIL and NSTL option. The NOSE option enables the bomb to be delivered slick, while the latter two options will have the retard devices deploy when the bomb is released. The availability of these options will depend on how the bomb has been wired. |

Yes, that is clear but I was wondering what I had to adjust, to make the profile "flexible" so I can choose the deployment via DSMS (or SMS). The two shots show the adjustments for a HD deployment. The PROFILE CONTROL is flexible and can be adjusted according to the profile (NOSE, TAIL, N/T).
If I am right I have to set the CONFIG from FIXED HI to PLT OPT so it is flexible but then I am not too sure about the correct fuzes. |

I assumed you were referring to the F-16 and not the A-10C. |

| Ups, forgot to mention that but shouldn't the fuzing be the same? |

In the load barn we always practiced attaching the ballute wire to a solenoid. Can't recall the exact procedure, but this was to insure pilot selection ability. |

Yes, PLT OPT should give you the necessary flexibility. In the DSMS screen shots you posted, I can see that you don't have a nose fuse. Now, without a nose fuse if you select the NOSE Pilot Option, the bomb will drop as a slick and be will be armed. If you select N/T, the bomb will drop retarded and will be armed. If you select TAIL however, the bomb will drop retarded, but will be a dud. |

So, if I get it right and I set up my inventory like in the following screenshot I should come up with something like this:
NOSE: slick bomb delivery (without ballute)
N/T: retarted delivery (with ballute)
TAIL: retarted delivery (with ballute) but bomb will not detonate
So all I need is to create different profiles and control the deployment via DSMS. |

Yes, pretty much. |
