Anyone know off hand what model of jet engine those Nascar jet dry
trailers uses? They said they are surplus military engines. |

Likely the GE T58 (Army Surplus) They're compact, light, and easily modified for a wide range of applications. Some have even been converted back into turbojets.
Lots of T58s out there, more than 6000 were built.
Another small jet engine would be the GE J85 (CJ610)
PW had a similar sized motor in the J60 (JT12)
All of the above are about the right size/weight for a 'jet dryer' and would match what I've seen used on the tracks in the trailers and on the backs of trucks.
Another motor I've seen used as a dryer was the PW J52, but it's MUCH larger and heavier. Mostly overkill for a track dryer. They're typically mounted length wise down the bed of a truck, either flat or angled, with a large dove-tail attachment to flare the exhaust.
