the Wolf Pack jet.. I've been wondering for a while over this. Is it fuel?

That was my first thought. Viper can't dump gas like other jets (except by punching the bags off) so maybe a fast leak? Perhaps right at the wing/pylon interface? The driver does appear to be looking the direction of the fuel gauge.

Most likely a loss of fuel overboard from the vent port under the left wing. If fuel transfer from one of the externals didn't stop when it should have, the associated internal tanks would overfill and fuel would go into the vent tank and then overboard via the vent line. Could also be caused by a cracked "Y" manifold which would allow some fuel destined for the engine to go back into the aft tank and subsequently overfill the aft tank system with the same result.

Standard venting after AR...most likely just got topped off...probably stopped within about 30 seconds.

Wing shut off valve hangup. Vent box gets overstuffed with fuel, fuel vents overboard. The tanker might not get an auto disconnect, the first indication would be fuel venting overboard.
Just a guess.
