Lockheed: 17 more F-35s expected at Eglin this year 01 Feb 2012
http://www.nwfdailynews.com/news/-47143--.html
"...“If you look at what’s on schedule for Eglin in 2012, we’re going to deliver you 20 jets,” said Stephen O’Bryan, vice president of Lockheed Martin’s F-35 program integration. “You’re going to deliver the first international jets here to the U.K. and the Netherlands and you’re going to see the flying begin on both the F-35A and on the F-35B, and you’re going to have all three variants here....
...Eglin now has nine F-35s — six of the conventional takeoff and landing A variants and three of the short takeoff and vertical landing B variants, which arrived last month.
Another 17 F-35s are scheduled to be delivered this year, including the base’s first F-35C, which is designed to take off and land on an aircraft carrier.
Eglin’s final 33 F-35s are expected to arrive by the end of next year. All the jets to be based at Eglin have begun to be built at Lockheed’s Fort Worth-based aeronautics center.
Eglin’s 59 F-35s are expected to remain the largest fleet of the fifth generation multi-role fighters until the end of 2019, when Marine Corps Station Yuma is expected to overtake it.
The next F-35 is expected to be delivered to Eglin in March, O’Bryan said...."

Salute!
Daily rag had a video that purported to show flight line activity from yesterday.
No doubt the field is Eglin, as many prominent structures are visible.
However, it rained most of the day, and unless the jet flew early in the morning, I think this is stock footage.
I can't sit out there all day to watch, but as I try to fish the bayous, I am sure I can report when a decent flying schedule is in progress.

The "military" section of the newspaper that is available has the article referenced above, and the link to the video was on that page.

| Gums, looks like that's video of AA-1 when it came to Eglin in '09. At least the taxi video (all the flags on the side) is definately not an Eglin based jet. They are painted in standard USAF or USMC "low vis" markings. |

Salute!
Correct, Twint, about the paint job.
Maybe the delivery bird did some low approaches.
OTOH, the buildings and such are all Eglin and not Ft Worth.
I'll try to get out there and infiltrate the 58th FS to talk with the guiys.

Agree on AA-1 as it has only one larger nose gear door |
