| Is there any information on the distance/time the aircraft spent skidding on its belly? |

After this photo being exposed on the Viper.net I've been mailing to the author of the photo subjected in this discussion asking for more details. Iinter alia he answered, that the aircraft has flown with the tank scrapping the runway for some 2-3 second which was an equivalent of some 160 meters. As pilot set the MIL power speed being increased and the aircaft flown away with slight angle not more bigger than shown in the photo without sudden nose up pitching. |

Thank you Patriot, great info
So it wasn't like he just touched the runway then took off, 160 metres is quite a distance. I wonder what was going through his mind when he felt and heard that things weren't as they should be.

"Oh $h|t!....."
"That ain't buffin' out"
"Cargo planes aren't THAT bad..."
"I should have stayed in bed"
"Why didn't I refuse the jet because of some silly write-up"
"Wonder how much that centerline tank is going to cost me?"
Just to guess at a few?
