I need clarifications about this matter as I am seriously considering to undergo LASIK sugery to correct my eyesight of 500+degrees of both eyes so that I can have a chance of becoming a Fighter Pilot of the SAF(Singapore Armed Forces)...  |

| I wouldn't say impossible, at least in the USAF, but pretty unlikely. The AF is getting more comfortable with PRK, but they don't like LASIK due to the fact that a flap is made in your cornea and has the chance of tearing open again under stress (theoreticaly.) |

| I've had PRK...its waiverable...I have the paperwork sitting her in front of me. But LASIK is disqualifying for flying and special ops in the US military. You need to check with the SAF flight surgeons. |
