Me and my friends each have our favorite aircraft. We all hope to become pilots one day. I'd like to fly the viper myself. Anyway, we have radio chatter when we're at school and pretend we're AF pilots. It helps us get through the miserable school day. I don't have a nick name/callsign though.
My friends:
wants to fly the F-117 - Heartbreak 1
wants to fly the B-52 - Jambo51
F-16 (Me) - ???
I've been thinking of one for about a year now. I need your help! I love Trance music, hate school, love F-16s and the Air Force. |

BDM,
Also take a look at our page about tactical callsigns.
Maybe you'll find some ideas there.

| Other Real ones I have known are Pops, Spock, Grinder, Fred;Dude really did look like Fred flint-stone of course he was an A-10 Driver at the time so it fit perfectly!! Spider, Rock, spud, you name it its probably been a call sign at one time or another. Also don’t Confuse Call signs with the ego driven Nick names the pilots like to be called by. *L* although sometimes they are the same. Like the aforementioned Fred.. |

| Mine would be of course Swedge, which started out as sledge as in sledge hammer, then got warped into swedge. long story involving a sledge hammer and "swedging" some cables for the winch on my Tab-V in Bitburg. But yeah kmceject is right on the money!! Of course now it occasionally gets slurred into Shreck due to the fact I am big and 6’3” and like to dress in Green. |

| Callsigns don't happen overnight...wait until you've had more experience and you'll find that the callsign your comrades give you will be more rewarding because most likely, like kmceject stated, you'll have an embarrasing story to back it up. |

| Tradition holds that you cannot pick your own callsign, only your comrades can bestow one on/for you. |

Ok, giving a high schooler a "callsign" is pretty stupid, but I guess I can appease you just this once.
Of course, you only have 13 posts to your credit, so REMF, or FNG will be suitable til we find out more about you

Alright, this happened about 2 or 3 months ago and was quite embarrassing. I'm in the AFJROTC unit for my high school, and naturally we have a lot of servicemen that try to recruit representing the various the branches. So one day me and my friend Eric "Psycho" Chelberg walk outside and see a Marine. I happen to be wearing BDU trousers and boots for JROTC. So we're walking toward this E-5 in the Marine Corps. He saw us and thinks to himself "here comes some gun ho guys". So he gives us a grin and asks us what we want to do in the military. I tell him I want to fly F-16s for the Air Force. He IMMEDIATELY looses interest in talking to me, as if I were invisible from there on out. I was like "What the $^%#?" Then he asks Eric, and he tells him that he's thinking about the Marine Corps. So they continue to talk...whatever. So later that day we were walking together again down the hall on the other side of the campus. I spot the same dude walking strait towards us! I'm like "sh*t man, I don't to even talk to this dude again" Up ahead to my right is en elevated sand garden or whatever where they planted trees and stuff in the front of our school. It’s about 2 feet high from our side, and the walls where made from brick. So I tell Eric c’mon' lets go this way. I run...jump...and the bottom of my boot hits the brick. I was like "oh ^%$#!" I hit the ground and roll about 2 times roll over some plants. I got scraped up a bit, had sand on me. The Marine, Eric, and all the other people sitting there where there pointing and laughing. |
