Trip reset after December postponement
"Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta is now scheduled to visit Patuxent River Naval Air Station on Friday, according to the office of Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-5th,Md.).

The visit, which Hoyer’s office said comes at the invitation of the congressman, was originally scheduled for Dec. 9 but postponed two days before the event.

The Jan. 20 visit is scheduled to include briefings on the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter. Panetta, who took office July 1 last year, is also expected to address F-35 Integrated Test Force personnel and meet with Pax River and community leaders.

Joining Secretary Panetta and Hoyer will be Acting Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Frank Kendall and Pentagon officials."
