True, but I was simply stating that compared to the F-35's wide-body center fuselage, the F-105's center fuselage was like a pencil in width comparison. I was just exaggerating to make the point of the F-35's central body appearing to be more of a lifting surface than the F-105's fuselage could ever hope to be.

I agree with you. It is clear the F-105 was designed to go very fast in a straight line at low altitudes.
