IIRC, the offer was a free squadron of F-35s in exchange for a 3-month moratorium on new settlements in the disputed territories. I still can't believe Israel passed on the offer. .. maybe there were other strings attached that never made it to the press.
I've no doubt Israel will find a way to capitalize on the jet's advanced C4ISR capabilities in the manner you described, likely leveraging on US efforts in the same area. |
