Subrat,
You don't have to address my name in your replies. I wasn't complaining about that. I was just curious about the origin of your questions regarding the redundancy for landing gear extension. It sounded like you were asking on behalf of an air force that has the F-16 and is unhappy with the existing pneumatic backup system for landing gear extension.
The IMHO is just an abbreviation for "in my humble opinion".
If you are asking these questions for an air force that is operating the F-16, you should be asking them through official channels via Falcon 2020 so that you get official responses. |

SubRat's email (subrat_sppl2007@yahoo.co.in) indicates he's from India, which is not a current operator of the F-16. |

Dear all,
I have a query...
1. Do F-16 carry chip detector in its hydraulic circuit? Is it advisable to burn the contaminants in the hydraulic circuit??? my reply would be no for this...
Best Regards
Subrat
To anyone it may concern:
If you know F-16 systems and are giving ^this guy^ the VERY SPECIFIC technical information he's asking for, you should stop and think about who you might be helping and how. You're all proud of the plane you work on and this stuff probably isn't secret; but espionage isn't just about stealing classified information; any piece of information, secret or not, that can be gained without having to do the research yourself is useful. It's what's been referred to as "ASKINT" (as opposed to HUMINT, PHOTINT, or SIGINT). |
