Don't know if this link will work for long, but apparently Beavis and Butthead (yes the show is back) were flying drones (maybe that's where the virus came from).
Of course the show got a lot of things way off; we don't call it "the head" in the Army and the Army doesn't use Reapers. Just enjoy the show and laugh.
