India only currently plans to purchase ~250 PAK-FA/FGFA's. Which, is hardly enough to counter the PLAAF and PAF. Plus. the MCA is decades off. So, Inida may well change its mind about the F-35.
Personally, I think the MMRCA is a complete waste of time. As by time India get's any reasonable number it service. They will be aready be obsolete... |

India have signaled more than enough to US where the line goes.
The F-16/F-18SH, got booted in the MMRCA.
And the Indian Defence M quoted, 'We are allready engaged in a 5th gen fighter program called FGFA, there will and cannot be a second 5th gen program in our long term plans'.
India/IAF are in bed with Sukhoi, has been and will be and there is nothing US can do about that part.. |
