You can make all the excuses and predictions for the future in the world but the fact remains that at the moment the F-22 is a cheaper fighter to operate per hour than the Typhoon. Japan will have the same problem too if they pick the Typhoon.

They would have the same problem with ANY type they select, whether the Typhoon, F/A-18 or F-35. In all cases it is necessary to purchase the equipment needed to operate either type, establish the logistics, supply chain, infrastructure building etc. If all these costs are taken into account and spread over the number of flight hours EVERY type would be much more expensive to operate. Ignorance won't help you further, on contrary!

Shep1978, you showed us a link about the operating costs of both fighters but you're just going by the negative points and blatantly ignoring the positive ones. Scorpion82 and myself looked into the links that you posted & we spent a few moments to point out the obvious, something you were incapable of doing, yet you still don't seem to want to believe. Next you'll be telling us that it would have been cheaper for the RAF and the British tax payer to ditch the Typhoon and opt for the F-22 instead...
