I saw the Aerion site for the SSBJ. I don't want to debate whether they are for real or whether their business model is viable. What I'd like to know is:

1. Is that type of wing viable?
2. Is that planform required for SNLF?
3. If yes to both of the above would such a wing be suitable for a fighter given the need to maneuver?
4. Is that kind of small, low sweep, low aspect ratio wing any good compared to deltas, cropped deltas, double deltas etc. when it comes to induced drag and wave drag?

Hope we can see a good thread with lots of engineers and armchair experts.

the less area of drag, the less delta between top & bottom/front & rear pressure == less severe turbulence as result. in short, only possible to reduce turbulence, but not to remove.
