This image rotates thru the Hall of Fame pane on the main page occasionally and I've yet to figure out what the circled thing is next to the HUD. Could it be on the canopy? Anybody know or wanna venture a guess? Thanks. |

| The thing NEXT to the HUD is the AOA indexer, but it appears that what you have circled is either a part of the combining glass or the glare shield that goes over the top of it. You may not be used to seeing the LANTIRN HUDs that are on block 40's |

The correct term is WAR HUD - Wide Angle Reciver HUD, only found on the Block 40/42.
I think you mean Wide Angle Raster HUD; but, LANTIRN HUD is also commonly used. |

| I know the diff between a WAC and a WAR HUD and what the AOA indexer is, thank ya kindly. I'm talking about the thing that looks like a lollipop with a broken stick. |

| Well in the circle, you have the simple rubber piece that sits on top of the HUD, mostly for glare, but also to protect the canopy from the hud and vise verse. its a 4x5ish rubber piece that screws into the top mount on the HUD |
