hi sukhoit, welcome to F16.net. In general, a proper answer to this fairly radical question could probably be something like: UK would need some more info.

1) Will PAK FA already be navalized by 2018?
2) What will the PUC cost be for a 2016 procured, navalized PAK FA?
3) What will the estimated Life cycle costs for a navalized PAK FA cost over 20 yrs, including 70k lbf of engines?
4) Will it be an unconditional military tech sale, nation to nation? Or is there some other implied geo-strategic factors (and expectations, e.g., divisions) being put on the table?

Resepcts-

all due respect but who knows this is russia we are talkin about so who knows .very likely as india are building there own aircraft carriers so cost will be down if the russians are going to replace admiral krutnezov with upto 2 new carriers.again who knows as i said THIS IS RUSSIA plus they could be less idiotic about sharing tech with some one eg america with the f35

Would a T-50 work with all the NATO standard equipment fielded by the UK?

What expense would that take?

I wasn't under the impression that a sale of a Russian fighter to the UK was even a possibility anyway. But, in addition to the above questions, for which the counterpart questions about Lightning already have answers, there are two other big reasons why the UK obviously has to choose Lightning over the Russian prototype. First, it's a prototype, and Lightnings are being produced right now. Second, and perhaps most importantly, any argument you could make about the Sukhoi plane being the better air-to-air fighter would be irrelevant because that won't be the main role assigned to combat planes in the UK's hands; air-to-ground will be the dominant role, and in that, the Lightning is clearly better than Sukhoi's plane (or a Raptor), beyond any doubt.

UK is part of NATO.
Russia targets NATO with nukes (at least that's the the Russian government's threat if NATO proceeds with the missile shield).
Not a good incentive to any PAK-FA sale to the UK IMO.

Yeah definitely man, that'd be awesome. Cause it can like do a Cobra and no Western jet can and it's radar is like 10 metres wide and pumps out 1.21 Gigawatts of power.

And it can like carry 100 missiles and it only costs $2m per jet...

Oh, and it can of course land on a carrier. Easy man, I saw it on Youtube...

Maybe not Britain - the main possibility in the next 10 years is Germany or France or Turkey or Italy. A joint venture along these lines. They already have this connection with Italy on there Jet Trainer.
Since the Russians are now mainly about making export $ and keeping there aircraft industry and existing markets it is not beyond comprehension something like this could happen in the next 10-20 years. The Russians I imagine would want something in return to sell to a NATO country. They put a ban not many years again on all there Avionics and Radar technology etc. being sold to just about anybody. Too many copies started to appear I imagine around the world. I am certain there are certain aspects they simply would not sell to NATO nation for some time to come. Odds are there secrets would soon be lost. Airframe yes. A full system is doubtful.
Conan - obviously a F35 "fanboy". Everything LM and USA Pilots etc. says is true and everything Sukoi says and Russian industry leaders and Engineers and Scientists and Pilots say is a lie.
If you look at the claims Russian Official sources make [not some of the crap and distortions on the net by others] they are very moderate in my mind compared to the crap put out by LM about 5-10 years ago. The F35 was going to be Cheap - easy and cheap to maintain etc. - have an advantage of 4-1 against any possible opponent in the Air Superiority role etc. etc. etc. Does all that still hold true?

Yes.. for the most part. Although everyone knows that no piece of defense equipment is cheap today. But I really dont think that anyone has said that it was going to be cheap.
