| Working with the F-16 I often see office codes like OO-ALC/xxxx, where xxxx seems like a random collection of letters. I understand OO-ALC means Ogden Air Logistics Center, but what is the significance of the xxxx letters? Is a organizational chart available, maybe? |

Go to the link below for the Hill AFB Media Guide. It provides background behind the organizational structure of OO-ALC. Note the office symbols for most directorates are shorthand for the business function they provide, e.g., EN for engineering, FM for financial management, etc.

| The XXXX is often referred to as an "office symbol". Usually, by the time an organizational chart is published, the various offices and organizations have undergone yet another re-org rendering the chart outdated. |
