How the hell did you guys fit a GBU-38 on a PIDS pylon? I don't get that one. You need a 1760 pylon for a GBU-38. The 2nd picture is right, that 1st pic is questionable.

Elvis and I are sister unit compadre's. He's with the snakes and I'm with the spads, our other sister units are the makos' and red devils. Our wings put together has more experience than 12 active wings put together, lol! That's 1 wing for every 3 active wings. We got pilots that used to drive F-4's back in the day, crew chiefs that worked F-4's and F-105's, loadies that loaded F-4s and F-105s and B-52s.

Let me assure you that the '03 deployment to begin OIF isn't the typical 187th deployment! EOR problems have been rectified and our crew chiefs are some of the best. With many new crew chiefs, doing it by the book, we have fewer problems. I'm not a maintance man or crew chief or weapons loader so I can't speak as one. I am, in fact, in their shops everyday, reviewing their work and getting to know their jobs very well and i can catch things that they don't sometimes. Our crews know what they are doing, that's why they continue to make history. Keep the 187th in the back of your minds because you will here from them again later in the year.

I'm an ANG (drill status) weapons guys and just like any unit you have guys who don't wan't to do thinks by the book always looking for short cuts. I saw it active duty back in the 90's we had a guy fire an AGM-65 off an A-10 in a revetment because he decided to use a TGM short cut to check a missile. The short cut was to hit the pickle button fine on TGM's but not on AGMs. By the way I'm with the Alabama unit (187th) McCracken is out he went 4T because of his knee back in 05 and had to get out.
