A diagram of the F-16 antenna positions

Always wondered why the F-16 has a tailhook, or how big a bigmouth F-16's mouth really is ? Find it out here !

Hello everyone!

I have just started work on the F-16 as a technician and am quite eager to learn more. Just wondering if anyone has a diagram of the F-16 which shows the antenna positions?

Seems like the Dash-1 has an image of antenna locations. Not sure what chapter so you'll have to thumb thru it.

Aren't they near the front of the -1? IIRC an isometric 'walk-around' type drawing...

If your a technician your tech data should be readily available. Might be in the GV as well.

FYI: Those diagrams are for an F-16A/B model, and most of the antennae have been relocated on the F-16C/D/CJ/CG/E/F aircraft. Specifically the lower UHF/IFF is now between the ventrals, the forward threat warning antennae are now the "beer cans" on the leading edge flaps, near the wintip missile rails, and the lower radar threat warning antennae are now the "shark's teeth" assembly, just aft of the radome.
If you've just started with the F-16, ask any of the Avionics Specialists for a diagram and maybe a quick walk-around. They'll probably be glad to help.

Agree with Chicken. Check out you TO bin in support, and while ya at it, pick 10 yards of flightline.

What base you at? I have the fortune of being at Edwards, with a F-16 TO spread from Block 5 thru 50+. That's one hell of a F-16 reference gallery!

The GV has all the spec info, and also check out the workcards.

Hi again!

Thanks jeroen for your diagrams!

I think I missed out on my introduction, I'm from Singapore.

OK, I'll go check out the -1... without you all I might not know where to start!

Thanks guys!
