In its early days, the English Electric/BAC Lightning, Ferranti AI-23 'AirPass' radar (upgraded soon after), Firestreak missiles, 30mm Aden cannons. Considered by many to be the best intercepter when it entered operational service. Just a pity it never really recieved more upgrades it should have done. But still remained one hell of a beast!
Closer to today, the latest version of the Tornado F3 deserves a mention. Tonka with AMRAAM, ASRAAM, heavily upgraded Foxhunter radar - not the greatest performer but managed to give other "proper" air superiority fighters a bloody nose & a good clip around the earhole during many training exercises later in it's life. Nice one!
F-22 with AMRAAM, AIM-9 etc...Its an air superiorty fighter, nothing less.
Typhoon with Captor-E, Meteor, ASRAAM, HMSS etc. WARNING! WILL CAUSE A WORLD OF HURT!
