Inside the LH Wheel, there sits the LG selector valve. There's this connector that connects to it. In between the two connectors, there's this transient suppressor, if that's it's [Link pending approval] What's the main purpose of that transient suppressor?

I've check the [Link pending approval]

A transient voltage suppressor or TVS is a general classification of an array of devices that are designed to react to sudden or momentary overvoltage conditions. One such common device used for this purpose is known as the transient voltage suppression diode that is simply a zener diode designed to protect electronics against overvoltages. Another design alternative applies a family of products that are known as metal-oxide varistor (MOV) that protect electronic circuits and electrical equipment[1].

Pictures shown there doesn't tally with what i see on the F16 but nevermind, wanna ask if the "transient suppressor" on the F16 does the same function as what is being explained? And who does this item belong too? as in AES trade or the Electronic Trade? (this is just a side issue i wanna [Link pending approval] out of curiosity as no one seems to know)
