Do you guys know if there is a list of the first say 50 pilots, like the one the F-16 programme had, including ranking, name of pilot, date of first flight, service (USAF, USN, USMC, contractors etc).

Code One Magazine has a pilot list - they also have a numbering system - who's on first etc: [I'm on slow dialup so accessing the slow Code One Website may take some time]

The LIST [numbered] has been referenced at least once on this forum. Probably best if you look at Code One because I cannot access it easily at moment:
http://www.codeonemagazine.com/

How about you add the URL for the list when found please? TAH.

Mentioned already on this forum here: http://www.f-16.net/index.php?name=PNph ... ter#227373

Starting from the start: http://www.codeonemagazine.com/gallery_ ... ry_style=3

And there are four pages so far and up to pilot 42 as of June 2012. The recent ANG pilot has not made the list (needs updating).

Brilliant. Thank you for the link. I was not aware that codeone was keeping track of the list of pilots.
I wonder if LM has a plaque with the names of the first 50 pilots.
Regards

We just updated the roster today. We were waiting for photos for a couple of them, which arrived today. The list is up to 54 pilots now (does not include X-35). No plaque that I know of. Maybe when the list reaches 100. Enjoy.

Wish the list included each pilot's impressions on the aircraft compared to what he flew before.

Oh yeah... because I'm sure the initial cadre will be very forthcoming in the public media on every aspect of their real feelings on the F-35.

I'm gonna ignore the obvious trolling for now and get to the point, which is this: Even sugar-coated statements can be useful when they come from several dozen people answering the same question about the same experience.

Meet the 65 F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Test Pilots Dec 17, 2012 By Aaron Mehta

http://blogs.defensenews.com/intercepts ... st-pilots/

"...One name should be familiar to regular Intercepts readers: USAF Maj. Joe Scholtz, aka “Lightning 57,” who in October became the first outside pilot to fully complete his training on the Defense Department’s prize jet.

Going through the list, it’s notable how the number of pilots has increased in just the last few months. 33 of the 65 pilots took their maiden voyage in 2012; 20 of those have come since the start of October."
