Hey, guys. Was the ALQ-119 or -184 exported for use on the MLU or other A/B Vipers? I see the -131 on most of the EPAF Vipers, but I can't recall ever seeing the other two pods on non-US F-16s.
If they weren't exported, does anyone know why? Assuming it can be discussed.
Thanks! |

| No idea, but if they weren't it was most likely that the capabilities were not releasable (at that time). |

Thanks for the info, guys. It's interesting seeing the -184 on the ROC jets. Bjorn, unless I'm missing it, the thread you linked to doesn't mention anything about the -184 or 119 pod going to FMS customers. I already know about the -131 pod being exported.
Is there something there I'm overlooking? |

No, that topic just discusses 184 and 131 differences. The ALQ-184 hasn't been exported to any country except for Taiwan (F-16 wise that is). I'm not an expert at this but since the USAF uses a mixed fleet of these pods, I presume that capabilities of both are quite identical. If one pod would be more advanced then the other, the most advanced would be in use in far greater numbers then the less advanced.

| It's been a couple decades but FWIW, on the pre-MLU EPAF OCU sims I worked (for a brief period), the 119 was on the list of available pods that could be loaded for training, IIRC. So at the very least, they could train to use 'em. Dunno if they had the actual pods to fly with tho. Didn't see the 184 on those particular sims. |
