When I'm in AGM with bombs in CCIP mode or just the gun my air to ground radar goes all useless on me. It looks like AAM but its not scanning anything as far as I know. The only thing it displays is a horizon line and a white + sign. Is there anyway I can set it to display the AGM modes like normal while still being in CCIP mode?

If you are on realistic avionics from what I can remember - because the APG-68 is working out the impact point for your CCIP pipper it cant do much else. CCIP is a visual bombing mode. Same goes for the the gun pipper.

ufff, i think that the radar is in groung ranging mode....

display of the APG-67 in that mode

the CCIP bombing mode is a visual mode thru HUD and the FCC need to know the slant range of the impact point to calculate the bombing triangle, so the FCR focused in the ranging mode to provide continous data for the maths.

That's correct faust, when in CCIP the radar changes mode to Air to Ground Ranging (AGR) to measure the correct slant range to the pipper. You can also see that your are in AGR by seeing an F before the range to the pipper in the HUD, F meaning that the range is calculated by the FCR.
