Hi all,

Would like to seek some help here on the above mentioned component. This component is installed in the aft reservoir or A1 tank. Access panel 3425/3427/3429. Can anyone here explain to me how it works and if possible, where can I find more information about the item.

There is an air ejector for each reservoir tank. They use ECS air to expel air from the reservoir tanks so that internal fuel can transfer to the reservoir tanks by siphon action. I imagine there is a description of their operation in the fuel system GS manual.

Hi bro, I do know of the air ejectors however, what I'm talking abt here is not that but the valve under access #3427. It is used to relieve air in the JFS fuel system prior to entering the FCU.

Sorry I misunderstood your question. I'm not familiar with the item you are asking about.

I don't want to dog you out, but here is how I interpret your question:

"I want to know about an F-16 part, but I'm not going to tell you the part number or provide a photo or any other description of it that might give you a clue as to what the hell it is, but can anybody tell me more about it?"

Are you surprised you haven't gotten more responses?

Best Regards,

I think I can answer this riddle. The fuel to the JFS comes through tubes in the fueltank and ends up in a small canister thingy with an airaiting valve, located in 3427. During a normal JFS start it only lets fuel through, the aitvalve stays closed since there is suction in the JFS fuel tubes. If you start the JFS with external power applied and fuel pumps running, the JFS fuel line will be pressurised, and the air valve will be open to let out air, thus purgig the JFS fuel tubes inside the fueltanks of air if there is any.

Does this sound about right?

Once again, a more complete description including part number would have led to a quicker response. Nobody mentioned JFS until the third post.

Best Regards,
