Wow thanks for the all the replies, its great to hear that I can run it on my computer! I'm going to order it today. In the early 90s I played with some fun simulators but nothing like this one, can't wait to try it out.

What type of Joystick do you guys recomend? I was looking at the Thrustmaster Flight Hotas X, Thrustmaster Cougar (buying it used somewhere online), the Saitek X52 Pro Flight System, do you guys recommend any one in particular?

Thanks,

Leo

Anything but X52! It breaks down as soon as the warranty expires! X65F may be tougher. Then there's Logitech's G940. Thrustmaster's HOTAS are the most durable.

Sorry for late reply
CH Fighterstick

I can confirm the bad feelings about the Saitek sticks.
I've had the X-45 and 2 X-52's.

All suffered from what I call control input recoil.
I pull back on the stick and the nose drops before swinging up.

Also they had a tendency to come off calibration.
After a few day's they'd start trying to roll the plane on it's back.

Saitek did not have a "calibrate" in it's control interface, you'd have to run a program from Saitek to wipe the settings from the joystick settings and reset it to.

I too second on CH Products Hotas System::
CH FighterStick,
CH Pro Throttle
CH Pro Pedal

These should last for a very long time. The construction is first class. And the Pots are very good.

I'll second the CH FighterStick
It's nice.
Movement is smooth, makes for more precise control inputs.

I own all the joysticks below except the X65F.

-CH fighter stick = durable (but I hate the handling)

-X52 Pro= best bang for the buck, all round good, if you dont mind the light center return force.

-Thrustmaster warthog= Porche of joysticks. Its a sight to behold and super programmable but woefull price tag (you do get what you pay for)

-G940= be prepared to suffer the lackluster performance and support from logitech. Also weak programming sofware, center play and no force feedback optimizations (doenst mean you wont have force feedback). It wont operate at its best with FFB without those optimizations not to mention thats its too bloody expensive for what it offers.

-X65F sits somewhere between the Hog (below) and above all others. Some hate non movable joysticks but its not a bad proposition for F4 BMS4.32 due to the advanced flightmodel effects on handling.
