I would like to use Falcon [Link pending approval] on my Laptop, I am not sure if the setup that I have on my laptop will be able to run the game. Here is what I have.

Dell Inspiron 15R
Windows 7
Intel Core i3-370M ([Link pending approval], 4Threads, 3M cache)
6GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3
500GB 5400rpm
[Link pending approval] Inch High Definition (720p) LED Display with TrueLife

Intel HD Graphics:
Adapter Information:
Chip Type: Intel ® HD Graphics (Core i3)
DAC Type: Internal
Adapter String: Intel ® HD Graphics
Bios Information: Intel Video Bios
Total Available Graphics Memory: 1696 MB
Dedicated Video Memory: 64 MB
System Video Memory: 0 MB
Shared System Memory: 1632 MB

Any help on this would be great, as I am not that familiar with computer graphics and systems. I did see online that people are using the game with windows 7.
Thanks,
Leo

I ran Falcon 4 AF on a machine that had a fraction of the specs yours has. That was back in 2001 when the Pentium 4 2.0 GHz processor was as fast as it gets.

You definitely can - I regularly run Falcon 4.0 AF on mine. Almost the same specs as yours.

and yes - you can run it with Windows 7 - it may require some setting changes - but if you google about running Falcon 4 with windows 7 - you will find many links that explain how to do it - if you are having problems.

Wow thanks for the all the replies, its great to hear that I can run it on my computer! I'm going to order it today. In the early 90s I played with some fun simulators but nothing like this one, can't wait to try it out.

What type of Joystick do you guys recomend? I was looking at the Thrustmaster Flight Hotas X, Thrustmaster Cougar (buying it used somewhere online), the Saitek X52 Pro Flight System, do you guys recommend any one in particular?

Thanks,

Leo

I runned it with acer 5520 with XP, Vista and WIN7, you can even use laptop keyboard settings and on max settings. Any laptop thats 2006-2007+ should run it with max graphics just fine.

I've heard the Saitek X52 Pro Flight System isn't really that good, but suggest you check out the reviews of buyers on sites like e-bay or amazon .... read a few, they usually help a lot.

Don't know much about the Thrustmaster .... so can't really comment ....

I myself use a Saitek Cyborg EVO Joystick in conjunction with shortcuts on my keyboard ..... have had it for a bit over an year now .... and have no complaints.
