Happy new year, to all!
Does any one hear of a new way to detect an a/c that fly supersonic by detecting the compress air push by an a/c?
We do know that RF waves bounce on different layers of air ...
Any theory? Any practical results? |

It's an interesting theory, but the computing power for what you're suggesting would be tremendous! I'm not saying it's not theoretically possible - just that we have a way to go yet before this becomes practical in any way. My |

| What wavelengths are used and do they allow detection or targeting? |

| No way , Because RF cannot lock on even itself during a doggie fight which begins between 2 raptors ! |

| Hmm, I actually talked w a guy who is a technician onboard the new Danish frigates. We talked about the smart-L radar and I asked him how to detect stealthy airplanes. He actually mentioned this as a technique used...if it was in service I dont know...but he mentioned it! |

I have always been intrigued by the computational limits of these aircraft. For under $1,000 you can build a computer that can perform complex calculations and renderings. What kind of operations are these hardware units tasked to complete? |
