Can anybody tell me the standard size for U.S. roundels on F-16s? Has it changed since the 1980s?

I'm working on a 1/48 Viper in markings for the 50th TFW, Hahn AB, Germany in the mid- to late 1980s. The roundels supplied on the SuperScale sheet (and on other SuperScale sheets of the same period) measure just under 1/2 inch across, while those found on Aeromaster and Fox One sheets I own (all for planes after 2000) measure 7/16 inch across.

There would seem to be two possibilities: 1, either SuperScale or the other two companies got it wrong; or 2, the size of the actual roundels has changed between the 80s and the past decade, and everbody's correct.

TIA
Pip Moss
