Ahhh, but surely it can, my friend! My wife said I need a hobby, so I thought what could be better than a 9 1/2 foot missile for over the fireplace?!?
Stay tuned...

| How cool is that? I'm looking to get as accurate as I can with my AIM-9M and I've been able to come up with - thanks to a LOT of people - some great reference material. It's going to be a fairly long term project, and there are still some thing I'm deciding how to go about doing, but so far, so good. |

I've seen one before, but it didn't look very realistic. It looked like a movie prop. I dare ya to do better! |

While my project has been on hold for a little while, the plan is to come just as close to the real thing as possible. I've had quite a few people donate some great reference material, so it's mostly a matter of planning and then putting it together.

Wow, cool project. Ironicly when I was on the Raptor program, we had AIM-120, AIM-9, and JDAM plastic shapes we used for fit checks. These were like huge 1-1 scale models, but well detailed with functional lugs. We had fun playing aroudn with them.
Post your progress please, as I'd like to see this.
BTW, if you need dimensions, I can get them for ya.
