It really depends on how you addressed each KSA, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, within your application. The state HRO either approves or disapproves. If they approve, you will get an interview here at the unit, if they don't, you won't. There aren't any weapons technician openings for those outside of the 149th currently, but you never know what can happen, so check the webiste often.

Thanks for the info ACV, I check the website pretty often and have noticed that most of the technician jobs there are usually in house. Hopefully I will soon be looking for real estate in San Antonio.

These openings are at the 149th Fighter Wing, Texas Air National Guard, in San Antonio. That is all at the beginning of the thread, but haven't mentioned it lately. There are several openings now and many will continue, as supervisor openings get filled and thier position is advertised. Hint: Make sure you address each KSA in the announcement.
