The F-16.net database for F-16D 87-0383 indicates that the aircraft is stationed with the 388th FW at Hill AFB, Utah. I know this is incorrect as it is a block 30 but does anyone have proper information regarding this aircraft or even a photo.
I personally believe the aircraft is at Hill AFB but with Ogden ALC.
Perhaps you could confirm this Henrik or Tom?
Cheers,
Jon
ps - I know Henrik you brought this up a few days ago. |

| There are no F-16's assigned to the Ogden ALC. Every jet that is there is there for modification and will be returned to its unit. |

| 87-0383 was at Hill with the 419th Reserve wing assigned to the 466th Diamondbacks. I know that recently it was transfered out I just don't know where to. |

Ah, of course, with the 419th. Don't know why I didn't think of that.
Thank you F16and 117DCC
As for Ogden ALC, I thought they used this aircraft:
USAF F-16A block 10 #79-0402 from the 15th TS is taxiing by the camera at Hill AFB.
Thought it was replaced with 87-0383. But I guess niether were from the Ogden ALC |

| There are no more orange and white test birds assigned to Hill (unless you count the one on a stick at the west gate). They alll left over 10 years ago. |

| The caption in the above photo indicates that the 15th TS flew that aircraft. How accurate is that? Or was it the 514th TS/FTS? |

Hello Jon,
Glad to see one of my "problem children" discussed!!! I know that the 419 FW / 466 FS has already transferred on of their F-16Ds - 86-0053 - to the 482 FW / 93 FS, Florida AFRC. The 482nd now has two F-16Ds - 86-0053 and 87-0380 - so I would not believe 87-0383 going there.
Depending on how the 419th plans have advanced to merge with the 388 FW (BRAC decision), I have heard that the 419th would send many of their current "Big Inlet" Block-30 Vipers to the 301 FW / 457 FS Texas AFRC at NAS Fort Worth JRB to replace the "Spads" current "Small Inlet" Block-30s. 87-0383 could be one of the first to be transferred there. The 301st will also receive further "Big Inlet" Block-30s from other units.
Greetings,
Henrik. |

Beside 87-0383 I have also lost track of 86-0052, last reported at 93rd FS in 2007

I posted in one of the other F-16 threads a few months ago that I suspect 86-0052, 87-0383 and 88-0152 are all operated from Groom Lake. It is highly likely that others are based there too as chase planes.
See Google Earth...

I'm not saying you're wrong, but surprising how you found the jets on Google Earth, when it is one of the most sensitive locations in the US. |

| I think Raameagle means the F-16's at the following coordinates: 37.245046,-115.816579, copy + paste them in google maps and you see four F-16a at an Air field in Area51 |

I too was surprised that they showed on Google Earth but there they are, clearly parked on what appears to be fresh concrete.
Btw, 88-0152 was at Hill ALC earlier this year on rework.
