Two of the tapes have neat RHAW sounds, as most of us in the 356th TFS flew with our audio turned on. Turns out that the sounds are better than the stupid display and automatic stuff. I could tell you the difference between a height-finder, a Fan Song, a Fire Can or an AI radar from a Mig or F-4.
I think sometimes the digital systems can be fooled i.e not indicating a threat that a crew member would be able to decipher with an analog system.
BTW looking forward to hearing those tapes.

Get a piece of paper. Draw a right triangle with one corner representing the threat, another corner representing the location of the F-16 some period of time ago, and the third corner representing the F-16 now. Sin(theta)=Opposite/Hypotenuse.
Now throw the piece of paper away, because it doesn't work like that. (But it could)
