Delay in delivary of second batch of F-16 C/D ac
The second batch of five F-16C/D supposed to be delivered in Aug 10. There are speculations that due to current flood situation of the country, the second batch is delayed. Adding to that, growing financial crunches. Any further information on this, [Link pending approval]
Is these aircrafts are being delivered only against payment?[/b] |

The floods are a tragedy for all humanity. My prayers and support.
As far as when next F-16s are delivered... I'm sure it will be documented on this site as soon as it becomes public release. I'm sure even Super Hornets to Australia will be delayed once and awhile.. It happens.
Respects- |

| We have two of the new pakistan block 52's here at the VT. Air Guard. One had a possible standby gen. fail and both had to land here. I believe the tail numbers are 10903 and 10904. Should be departing soon for Pakistan. |

| I added some pic's today of #10903 & #10904 transiting our base (Vermont ANG). They came in yesterday and one broke. It was fixed by our people with parts from ours. I heard it was actually fixed using parts from 83-1165 (Static) aka Lethal Lady BLK 25. Very nice looking jets. The paint scheme is beautiful. |

We are receiving 10 F-16 block-52s in November 2010, bringing the total to 14jets delivered, hopefully the remaining 4 jets will be delivered in December 2010.
Plus, negotiations are underway for an almost certain contract for 14more block-52 Vipers, 10 C'Models and 4 D'Models respectively. If all goes as planned deliveries for these jets will commence from 2012. Bringing the total to 32block-52s.
5years out total f-16 fleet including these 32 block-52s, and the 47-MLU jets will come to 79.
after participation and working closely with allied forces in exercised like, red flag, Green Flag, Falcon Air Meet, Anatolian Eagle, and others PAF Viper drivers have gained immensely and can perform their roles well, even more so. |

Pakistan receives three US F-16 aircraft
2010-10-30 19:10:00
Islamabad, Oct 30 (IANS) Pakistan Saturday received three new F-16 aircraft from the US as part of 18 such fighter jets scheduled to reach the country by December.
The jets landed at the Shahbaz Airbase of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in southwestern Jacobabad city, media reports said.
It was initially reported that five F-16s will reach Pakistan in this consignment but only three arrived Saturday.
Senior officials of PAF were present at the airbase on the arrival of these aircraft.
Three other aircraft reached Pakistan in June as part of the consignment, while the remaining would be handed over by the end of December. Pakistani pilots were trained by the US Air Force prior to the handing over and they flew the aircraft in the Pakistani airspace.
A PAF spokesman said: 'Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman has congratulated the Pakistani nation on enhanced strength of its fighter jets' fleet.'
Sources said the arrival of these five F-16 jets was scheduled for September 2010 but was delayed due to floods in August and September. The Shahbaz Airbase was partially inundated during the floods that wreaked havoc across Pakistan, leaving over 1,800 dead and over 20 million homeless.
The government of former Pakistan president Gen. (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf had struck a deal with the US for the purchase of 24 refurbished F-16 aircraft to enhance air warfare capacity of the country. The new government, after taking charge in 2008, decided to buy 18 additional new block-52 fighter jets.

Three more F-16s added to PAF fleet
ISLAMABAD, Oct 30 (APP): Second batch of three F-16 C/D Block 52 high tech fighter aircraft arrived at PAF Base, Shahbaz in Jacobabad on Saturday. According to DPR (AIR), two more aircraft of the same category would arrive next week in Pakistan.
Brigadier General Michael Nagata, Deputy Commander, Office of Defence Representative in Pakistan handed over the aircraft on behalf of the US Government to Air Marshal Mohammad Hasan, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Operations) who accepted them on the behalf of the Government of Pakistan.
Pakistan had signed a contract with the US Government in 2005-06 for the acquisition of 18 F-16 C/D Block 52 aircraft. Under this arrangement, PAF would receive these state-of-the-art aircraft from the US Government in staggered batches.
In this connection, first batch of three aircraft of same category had arrived in May, 2010. The deliveries of the rest of the aircraft would be completed by December, 2010.
The F-16 C/D Block 52 aircraft is a high tech fighter aircraft equipped with state-of-the-art avionics suite and latest weapons with Night Precision Attack capability.
These aircraft are part of the bid by PAF to modernize and enhance its Air Defence capabilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Air Marshal Hasan said that PAF desires to maintain peace with honour in the region. However, if required it would use these aircraft along with all capabilities at its disposal to defend the motherland.
A number of PAF and US officials attended the ceremony.
