Info I recently obtained from Marco Dijkshoorn (Scramble). Sorry no serial numbers yet! He to is also looking for that info to complete his database - F-16C 6 AJÜ w/o 24may00 near Buçak, Burdur. Capt. Askin Sezer ejected.
- F-16C 4 AJÜ w/o 27jun01 at Akinci, pilot Capt. Tunc Sözen ejected. Probably Öncel Filo. Engine went to SEC mode within 10 miles of the runway and immediatelly after that it stopped.
- F-16C 151 Filo w/o 04apr00 near SIVAS/Yildizeli, collided with 2nd ship during a night flight. 1st Lt. Gungor Ozer ejected

- F-16C 191 Filo w/o 16jan04 near Kutahya/Domanic killing 1st Lt. Mehmet Karakuzulu (found days later due to bad weather)

Well,
Jon & Asif, I am looking for that info since a long time. Every time a Turkish F-16 crashes we know the place, date, pilot and all other related info, except for the serial number. I have done a lot of research to retrieve these numbers in the past, but without any success so far.
So if anyone has more info regarding the serial numbers of these crashes, please post them in this topic.

Hi Asif
Yes, the list I posted came from Scramble, everyone is missing these serial numbers.

Just a quick note:
F-16C TuAF w/o 18may91 north of Mürted: This information is mixed with May 8 1991 crash. There is no Turkish F-16 that has crashed on May 18, 1991.
Similarly, F-16C TuAF w/o 25jul97 crash did not happen. Between 1997-1998, there has been no Turkish F-16 crash...
The rest of the list is correct.... |

Hello Feridun!
When you say that "TuAF w/o 25Jul97 crash did not happen" you mean that it was written off but did not crash, or that it was not w/o at all...?

- 08 Feb 1995
- 29 Sep 1995
- 11 Oct 1995
- 08 Oct 1996
