The J-XX is truly the ultimate stealth machine. It can only be detected by an advanced, massively parallel computerized sensor system of global proportions, ie; the Internet...
The PRC spent over 20 years to develop the J-10, and that after the Israelis had already done half the work for them. Not to mention that their airforce recently rejected 16 of the Flanker copycat J-11Bs because of unacceptable build flaws.
Give'em another decade or two, mebbe...

| I'll wait until we get some high quality photographs or video footage before I'm convinced. |

Nope, that's not photoshop...
It seems that American Internet fanboy nationalists think that the US is and always will be the only nation capable of building 5gen. |

| It's not that no one's capable exec it's just that there seems to be too much advertising hype and little substance to back it up. I think That Engine Guy and butters summed things up very well (as it stands right now anyway) so I'll get off my soapbox now. |

Not S-37, the tail fins are different.
To me its remeniscent of the abandoned wing/pelican tail concept they were having for the original YF-32 prototype. |

Not really dude. The artist impressions were pretty clear, and cool. The photos did offer differing vantage points, but they weren't any clearer.
As things stand now (they could change - I'm not doubting China's ability to produce these kinds of jets) I'd recommend a NATO reporting name of "Fauxbat, Fauxback, Fauxfoot, Fauxstyle, or Fauxhand". From what I know of history, communist countries have fierce propaganda machines and aircraft with overstated capabilities. I am going to consider this aircraft "fiction" (another good reporting name, LOL!) until I get better information and more detailed pictures and video. |
