Hello, Im brand new to this site and I have a few Q's about Falcon 4.0 AF. When I go on a CAS sortie, and i reach the waypoint where I am supposed to attack, I drop my bombs on the vehicles there, only to find out they were friendly *_* . How can I determine friend from target?

Thanks in advance.

Two ways ..... both not so realistic .... but considering that in Falcon 4AF like in other combat flight sim games, they don't have real men on the the ground as FACs in direct communication with you the pilot, this is the best approximation to reality within the game:

1- Padlock the target, that means, switch to A2G mode, then press "4" and keep clicking it until the intended target is picked up by your padlock. Once this happens, you will see the target with a blue, red or green box around it ..... if you are blue force and the target is blue .... it is friendly, if it is red, the target is enemy, if it is green, it could be either. In that case, contact AWACs (JSTAR) and ask it to declare the target ..... it may or may not give you the information you need. If it does not, ask you wingman to attack designated target, if he says "Negative" .... target is almost always friendly.

2- Other method is to turn on Labels - Ctrl+L switches on labels for close range, Alt+L switches on labels for long range ..... the label will tell you whether it is friendly or enemy. Note you first have to switch on Ctrl+L before you can switch on Alt+L

Hope this helps.
