I was in the 612th and I was wondering if there were any of us left. Does anybody remeber the snack bar between the 612 and 613?

Hey Chris,
It's O.T. from the 23rd at Spang. You'd be surprised who will pop up on this website. |

I worked Phased Insp for the 613 and 614TFS from '89-91 and deployed to Doha with the Lucky Devils during the Gulf. I've set up a website with a 'Roll Call' to try and get some of the guys in contact (after all these years...) Stop by, take a look around and let me know what you think:
The Gulf War with the 401TFW/614TFS Lucky Devils
http://www.lucky-devils.net
If you were in Qatar, let me know if you'd like to sign the Roll Call, or if you know anyone who was let them know where we are!

Chris,
Your name sounds famliar. I was in the 613th AMU from 1985 to 1992. I had some friends over in the 612th, Roger Hart, Doug Baumgarder, Todd Gardiner. There were others but their names escape me. I still talk to Doug and Roger. I also remember the snack bar "The EPU (Emergency Pigout Unit)". By the way I am trying to get a Torrejon Air Base website going.....here is the link: http://home.wideopenwest.com/~johnlanier/
Its still light on content but I am working on it. I also have a yahoo group call Torrejon Air Base......If you are in contact with anyone else from TJ let them know about both.
Best Regards

Hey John. Haven't seen you in a while. I loved the chili at the EPU. 50 cents, and you're guaranteed to experience it twice.

Boy do I remember that snack bar. This is Scott Stutler from the 614th and Macdill. Like they said, you will be amazed at who pops up. You will have to drop me a line on the other email.

614 "Lucky Devil" crew chief from Jan 1984-Jul 1987.
Remember well the snack bar - remember this? Chili over Frito's - that was pretty popular with the swing shift.
Baumgartner was at Shaw for a short period in the 90's.
Frankiewics? was at Langley last I heard.
Marcel Lewis was at Homestead when Andrew hit - heard he went to Moody after that
Kevin Cowart was a flight chief at SW for a while - retired now.
Dave Fuller xtrained to C-130 loadmaster - ran into him during D.Storm
Charles Stuart was at Osan with me in 2003
"Then" Capt Covas? was a LTC at langley last time I talked to her 97-98???

Wow. Capt Covas made LTC? I worked for her husband on the 1987 Gunsmoke Team.
Wonder if there was any truth to the "engine troop" rumors we heard about her... |
