I was at Maxwell AFB this weekend, and there was a crowd about 100.000, I hate crowds as they get in the way but regardless I was able to get some good shots.
Let me put a sample first;
This is me with 87-218 in the background. Notice that 218 has changed to "City of Auburn"
The building in the background is once my dream school I never got to go, USAF OTS!
I forgot to charge my camera before I left, so I was able to take 44 shots, mostly two of the Alabama Vipers...
If you like the quality guys I will post them up here, quality-wise they are 1080p. |

| Why was the aircraft fenced off? Lemme guess, the aircraft had a dummy AIM-9X on it. |

This one had an ordnance team sitting in a trailer that was in the back. See the loader? This pic I had it taken 10 ish in the morning, by the time we were leaving in the afternoon, I noticed they had loaded the CBU laying on the ground, which you can't see in this shot. So maybe they had a demonstration.
The other aircraft was "City of Troy" and that was fenced off too but within touching distance. Kind of ticked me off that static dischargers were missing and stuff on the tail. I wish it was fenced of a little further. |

I was there too. LOTS of fun. All the fighter pilots I talked too were real nice guys (including the pilot of "City of Troy" who graduated from Auburn if memory serves).
I got sunburned like a mofo since I was so excited I forgot to put sunscreen on, even though it was in my car.
There was a three-star in line at the rock wall... his kid kind of cut in line but I wasn't going to say anything, LOL. |

Here are some of them guys, I figured I would post here and then upload the rest to the media album.
Could not talk to Troy's pilot, poor guy was swarmed the whole time, felt bad about him, he probably answered a million questions about how to become a pilot, I was just standing nearby and it was absolutely not my type of conversation environment. I hate crowds. We approached him with my flight school buddy after Thunderbirds were done but then the SPs told us to leave which ticked me off to no end, but was not intending to commit "unbecoming an officer" Talked to the major that flew the Raptor who in turn asked about our flight school ... Couldn't shoot any questions about the -22 ... What a weekend. I hope Eglin is having one soon. |

He seemed more than eager to answer questions and interact with his visitors.
Also, you could tell just how enthusiastic the Raptor pilot was about his plane from the way he talked about it.
The Raptor had a walking 'do not touch' sign on it. hehehe. |

I thought Raptor's nozzle covers were pretty interesting. Unlike the Viper here, Raptor did not have a seat or HUD cover...
