If you look at some of the PACAF media pool pics... the two rapters 045 and 046 have different badges on the tail... 045 has the ANG badge and the tail stripe like the 199FS F-15s... 046 carries the PACAF badge and please correct me if I am wrong.. but is that gamecocks marked on the tail for the 19FS???
YES YES YES!!!!! Thats it! I noted earlier in the thread that there were different flashes but didnt know what the other one was. So they have painted one jet with the gamecocks badge and the oither with the ANG badges. Very cool!! I wonder if the other aircraft will be plit up as well? |

At Langley, Elmendorf, and Holloman .. they have marked up flagship aircraft for the squadron and wings for the national guard and reserve units.. so it will be interesting to see if the 19th FS gets its own flagship.

I am going to Honolulu in march and was wondering if they will have many F-22s by then? We always see F-15s and it would be nice to see some 22s.

Hmm a bit hard to say but Id figure they would have maybe 6 to 8 by then. They have four or five and at least one or two are getting reay to head down. They seem to transfer around 1 a month now.

please correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't the 19th FS an associate unit to the 199th FS? So although 4046 is painted in 19th markings it really is owned by the 199th FS? Just like the 192nd FW F-22 at Langley is a one-off.
