I had to split this in two pieces due to Youtube's 10 minute limit.

SpudmanWP, Thanks for the video. Can you please decipher what Tom Burbage says in reel 2 about the 14 aircraft for Australia please? He mumbles something that I just cannot understand. Thanks. The time on second reel is about 6m35seconds and I think he says "14 aircraft ...from LRIP6" is that correct?

I think he said "Australia's recent announcement that they intend to purchase 14 operational jets beginning in LRIP 6."

OK thanks. Do we know when that LRIP 6 may be? There are so many graphs/dates whatever that it is difficult to know when this LRIP 6 may be (or predicted to be)? TIA.

Can someone resume what the video says so I don't have to watch the whole thing, other than, if they're honest, saying that, "We did not accomplish a fraction of what we were supposed to do"? Many thanks.

PDF from USN dated 04 Nov 2009 is probably outdated for LRIP6 but I post the link here just because (840Kbs):

Very nice videos. Showed a lot of the progress made apart from the actual Test flights.

LRIP 6 is the FY2012 buying cycle.

All the previous reports indicated Australia's US based training aircraft would be delivered in 2014. Whether that date was announced before or after the announced delays I'm not sure.

OzDef can be coy but they seem to stick to that year - 2014 as suggested by 'munny'. I guess the common knowledge is that things change in the JSF schedule so why should not these 'benchmarks'?

I gather the LRIP 6 buying cycle starts FY2012? It seems that nothing is settled about JSF until 'after the fact'. Trying to predict at moment seems fraught. However I note that elsewhere commentators mention that predictability about the JSF will be more certain from now on. What we need are new predictions.... Smile

I enjoy watching these videos and they are really good, however when “Dudley” the narrarator says 15 of 19 test aircraft have been delivered … I think to myself … why are they only flying two?

I want to be a fan, but the subjectivity of these videos is killing me!

I became an F-22 fan after Aviation Nation 07 when I saw the Demo … I’m still in awe and respect that jet!

VarkVet, my impression was that the 19 test aircraft included all the static test aircraft of various kinds. Maybe I'm totally wrong there.

True could be ground testers, I think we will be seeing more activety on the USAF side real soon Thumb

Like the video said ... It's time for everyone to pull their head out and lets make this jet happen Wink
