Does any one know how the design has changed for the lift fans and the covering doors over the years. Mostly looking for close-up photos of the latest style/design of the doors?

Thank you very much!
Jon

I think the only major change was the door being a hinged "Fold-away" door to a single "car hood" style door.

F-35 sim demonstrator says that the nozzle goes to 103 degrees during decelleration inflight to hover. Then later shows the thrust vector at 90 degrees. This info included for those wondering about 'reverse thrust' for SRVL landing for example: http://www.patricksaviation.com/videos/perabrown/4344 (48Mb .MP4 video)

"When opened, the upper LiftFan door is positioned at either 35° or 65°. The auxiliary inlet, which is between two side-hinged doors aft of LiftFan inlet, is used in powered lift operations to improve pressure recovery and increase airflow at the main engine face."

From what I read and saw in a couple of videos was that they changed the style of the door to reduce the number of moving parts.
